Regarding your question, I have two options, Barequeçaba Beach Hotel , where the beach is very calm for children, food is very good and is close to the center of San Sebastian and the ferry to Ilhabela.
My other suggestion is in Ubatuba, the Island Inn Hotel Pontefract , is located on the shore of the Pond, which I think is better than the beach Barequeçaba, but the hotel is far from centrinho of Ubatuba and Caraguatatuba, which can be a problem for days with rain.
